At this stage the page will be used to let everyone know about a variety of sources of information on the
web which are related to subjects of interest to our visitors. Within the next few weeks, we'll be
adding articles and editorial which are more related to things happening locally and in the region.

In the alternative socio-political arena, Information Clearing House is one of several web sites
dedicated to giving a forum to versions of the daily world news which are not readily available via the
mainstream channels.

"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to
challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our
country." : Thomas Jefferson

The 8th of June sees an astronomical event, the transit of Venus across the southern face of the Sun,
which has provoked a huge number of articles on the web. These transits usually take place in pairs
eight years apart, and the second transit of this pair will happen in 2012. A date which has further
connections within a variety of traditions such as the Mayan, Hopi, Tibetan and many others.
At earthalchemy.com, Chris Hagey has an enlightening article on her perception of what effects we may
notice as we live through this astronomical and astrologically significant event.

In the arena of complimentary health information, Chris Hagey of earthalchemy.com has produced another
interesting article touching on the relationship of subtle energy flow and our immune systems. "Recently I ran across an article that talked about how cancer cells are immortal. The cells do
something that normal cells do not , which is to turn off the aging code so that they can reproduce
indefinitely. There are samples of redesigned cancer cells in laboratory cultures that have been
reproducing continually for 20 years and show no sign of slowing. This was stunning information to me,
along with the last line of the article where a doctor stated that in a normal situation we are always
trying to balance new and old cells." : Chris Hagey
